Spring 2

Welcome to another fun filled term at Litton Primary!

We all had the best time on residential in Castleton where we focused on our geography skills. Our trip to explore Trekcliff Cavern was AMAZING! We saw so much Blue John and learned all about the history of Blue John mining. We were all exhausted after our long walk, but we loved hunting for fossils along the way. We found all kinds of interesting creatures when we went river dipping and found it so interesting getting to examine the wildlife up close.

This term we are reading Journey to the River Sea to tie in with our ‘South America’ topic.

Here at Litton Primary, we care about the environment!

In English this term, we are writing persuasive letters which will be sent to the Environment and Climate Control Committee at the House of Lords urging them to do more to save the Amazon Rainforest. We are passionate about protecting our planet!

Our letters to the Environment and Climate Control Committee...

In maths year 5 have been working their socks off with fractions while year 6 are doing amazing with algebra.

Keep up the good work everyone!
