The Friends of Litton School is an association of parents, teachers, governors and friends of our school who work together to support our fantastic village school. The Friends raise money to contribute towards school equipment, school trips and experiences.

Every year the Friends of Litton School put on a number of events. Our biggest two annual events are the Christmas fair and the Wakes week activities and café. These bring together the school community and are our main fundraisers. The Friends also organize other events which have included bingo nights, picnics, pie and quiz nights. These events also help to raise funds but have a stronger focus on families getting to know each other and strengthening our community.

Each year the Friends raise around £6000, and spend a similar amount. Friends of Litton school use the money raised by these events to benefit the children currently attending Litton school. We aim to ensure that children across all school years benefit. These funds are used in a variety of ways, some one-off equipment purchases and also commitments to regular funding, such as paying for 3 coaches per year to facilitate school trips. The Friends also make a termly donation to school, to be used as school sees fit. In the past Friends funds have been used to buy equipment such as ‘Bob’ the climbing frame in the playground, the trim trail and the reading hut. The Friends also use their funds to subsidize school trips, reducing the price parents are asked to pay.

Christmas Fair 2023

Congratulations to everyone who was involved in organising and supporting the Christmas Fair. The school choir opened the fair with jolly Christmas songs. We raised over £3000 for the FOLS funds to support the children’s wider curriculum. What a fantastic way to start the Christmas season. Many thanks to everyone!
