This term our topic is the Mayan Civilisation. We are all really excited to learn all about this time in history and research into this part of the world!
We have started the term off by reading a Mayan Folktale called “The Chocolate Tree”. We have loved learning about the Mayan Gods, Kukulkan and Night Jaguar, and finding out how the Maya believed chocolate came to earth!
We are now writing a diary entry from the point of view of Kukulkan on the day he stole the chocolate tree!
For our English we have researched how chocolate is made and written an explanation text to describe the process from bean to bar!
We have had a great time handling data using the Microbits in computing!
