Thursday 23rd September

Everyone in Red Group has settled into school well.

Our topic this term is traditional tales.  We have enjoyed the Billy Goats Gruff, Three Little Pigs and Hansel and Gretel.  On Monday afternoons, we do a lot of roleplaying and making with Miss Wetton.

We have "Fred Talk" every morning (except Friday!)  We learn a new sound each day.  So far, we have learned m, a, s, d, t, i and n.  We are learning to blend sounds into CVC words, e.g. m-a-t mat.

In Numeracy, we are doing lots of counting, numeral recognition and ordering numbers 1 to 10.

On Tuesday afternoons, we do PE in the Village Hall with Mrs Hanley.

On Wednesday afternoons, we go out on adventures with Nicola and Sarah.  Yesterday, we visited H's allotment and harvested potatoes, onions, leeks, turnips, tomatoes, courgettes and an aubergine!  We are going to make soup on Friday.

First week in school

Welcome to Red Group!

WE are Red Group. We are a very special part of the Infant Class as we are the youngest children. Our class teacher is Mrs Bullock and we work with Sarah and Nicola and Wendy. We love to discover the world around us and learn new things.  If you look through our gallery you will see some recent pictures of our activities.
