Welcome to another exciting term at Litton Primary!
I hope you all have had a lovely summer and are ready to take on some new challenges.
This term our topic is Mighty Mountains! 🏔️
This term our book is Everest - the Remarkable story of Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay by Alexandra Stewart.
For our English, this term, we focused on information texts. We researched Mount Everest created a brilliant non-fiction book for our school library! 📚
We had the most amazing week at Whitehall! We challenged ourselves to try new things like rock climbing, rocking scrambling and canoeing; most importantly, we had a lot of fun! 🛶
This term for Design and Technology we have been looking at mountaineering clothing. We researched existing products and created an ideas board for our own design. We then made a prototype before finally making our design.
To top it all off, we got a visit from a real life mountaineer who showed us the most incredible photos of his expeditions. He brought in lots of his mountaineering equipment and clothing for us to have a look at and even try on! It was fantastic.
