Here is a message for the KS2 children. Enjoy the snow today!
Friday 9th January 2026
Dear KS2 children,
First of all, please go outside and enjoy the snow!!!
If you make any snowmen, snow sculptures, take a photo and bring them to school next week. We will look forward to seeing them.
Here are a couple of activities for you to complete.
RE
Year 5/ Year 6
Read the story of The Creation story in Genesis 1. Make notes about the key parts of the story. You will need this information for the next lesson.
Year 3 /Year 4
Research different Muslim festivals.
Make a list of the different festivals in the Muslim faith and the celebrations linked to them. What happens during the festivals/ celebrations?
Art – for all KS2 children
Our new art topic is called ‘Take A Seat’. We are looking at the visual elements of chairs, including looking at the materials used, their form and structure.
So, look around your home and sketch four different types of chairs you can find. Make sure you look at the design, shape, style, colour and size. Sketch them and colour them in. This work will be very useful research for the next lesson.
Stay safe and I hope you have fun in the snow!
Best Wishes
Mrs Hicks
