Welcome to our class page showcasing some of our exciting learning in Year 3 and 4! 

In Autumn 1, we will be learning all about Sheffield in our history topic on a Friday with Mrs Hicks. Also, we will be studying the artwork from Pete Mckee in our Art lessons. To tie in with our Sheffield study, we will get the oppportunity to read Meet Me By The Steelmen by Theresa Tomlinson. As part of our writing lessons, we will be exploring The Sound Collector poem by Roger McGough, before moving on to writing our own time-slip adventure story. Where will our characters end up travelling to? How will they get themselves home again? I can't wait to read these narratives!

In maths, we will be concentrating on place value. Year 3 will concentrate on 3-digit numbers and will be introduced to 4-digit numbers. Year 4 will focus mostly on 4-digit numbers. Also this term, we will begin to explore column addition and subtraction.
